There are hundreds of nursing specialties, and many qualified legal nurse consultants in the United States. Many consultants have one specialty that they consult for, while others have several.
What sets Napolitano Legal Nurse Consulting apart is the wide range of specialties that we have experience in. Let's consider a story.
A patient's family is filing a lawsuit for medical malpractice. Their family member was sent to the hospital from a local rehabilitation center due to abdominal pain and a high fever. The patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital, waited 20 hours in the emergency department before surgery, had extensive abdominal surgery, then passed away 2 days later in the intensive care unit. What went wrong?
The experience of Napolitano Legal Nurse Consulting spans the specialties of the ambulance crew who saw the conditions at the rehab center, the emergency department staff who cared for the patient, the operating room staff, and the intensive care unit staff. Medical records from all of these touch-points can be meticulously analyzed, a chronology created, and an analysis of the record completed. Whether it be a merit review or preparing the legal team for trial, we can help.
